If Stellaris is very slow, try deleting (or renaming) /etc/X11/xorg.conf and restarting.
go to stellaris directory, right click on 'stellaris.exe', and run with integrated gpu.
i hope so, paradox will fix it...
I disabled full screen optimization and have enabled run as administriation and has managed to get past where I was having trouble with the crashing as soon as I clicked launch game and nothing happened...
Now after following those instructions and even giving the game further permissions in security settings and disabling fullscreen optimization which seams to have helped me get further the screen stops loading at wallpaper off a lava planet after I read the 2.2 update notification you receive after you launch it...
I couldnt find \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris Path and I am still crashing... even after moving the game to my C Drive which is a SSD... I think there could be missing files within the game installation as I bought the Stellar's starter pack instead off trying the free demo... I have installed a

Today Stellaris want start. The Problem was MSI Afterburner. If I stop MSI Afterburner, the game starts. Why this happend now and not the last 3 years?
I have:
Verified game cache
Reinstalled the game (also deleted the folder fully incase of leftover files)
Deleted the documents folder
Reinstalled the graphics driver
Reinstalled DirectX and the other redistributions
Deleted all mods
Ran as Admin
Run in windowed and fullscreen
Disabled all ingame overlays
Disabled Antivirus
I have ran out of ideas.
FIXED:
I had a
"Unhandled Exception C000001D (EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION) at address 0x00007FFED372C8C2" in the crash log. Looking around I found that the latest Windows 10 update (KB4512508) was the problem. I uninstalled it and now my game works.
I had to reset the RivaTuner Statistics Server Cache in the properties.
Open RTSS -> Setup -> scroll down -> Reset cache -> OK -> resart RTSS yes
So it was not a Stellaris specific problem. Now RTSS can run again without crashing Stellaris.
