IGN and PCGamer reviews are out

I know that IGN is a joke at this point but another 'average' review popped up from PCGamer there. I wanted so hard for this game to be good, and maybe not good but excellent, I dreamt of this kinda space strategy Paradoxes were telling us about for a long time. Is it true? Are my hopes being destroyed? Someone, please, tell me they're not.

Why you lot even look at the "scores" set by gaming magazines.
Just look up some of the gameplay on youtube by various youtubers and decide for yourself if you want the game or not.

IGN and PCG are too big for their own good. Their business model is being paid for scores, and their preferences when it comes to games is biased towards the casual and mainstream.

why listen to IGN.. paradox forgot to pay them for a good review so they gave them a bad score.
ye.. i care too, but should i listen to 2 who gave a bad score, or the many others that gave a good score?

a lot of people say hitler was bad.. but same said he was good, so maybe hitler was a good guy after all? :o

Never trust reviews, no matter how hard a person tries they cannot seperate themsleves from their own bias when it comes to anything.

The best example that I use in this is Roger and Ebert. They barely ever gave a good review or two thumbs up to movies that did what they were suposed to do, make you laugh with stupid humour. These guys weren't fond of comedies and their reviews showed that.

The same with any industry. Even my friends, I won't go to them to see what they think.

In my personal humble opinion, from many years of PC gaming, PC Gamer reviews are crap.
To short, no depth, nothing. More Pictures than actually "review".

at the moment for me the game is still too "dumbed down" and much "move your bunch of ships around" ....

BUT look how EU IV developed , I am sure STELLARIS has more potential, even it will need some DLC's (Planetmanagment, more resources, more settings, ground units etc.) ...
