Strangest random event?*Possible Spoilers*
What's been your stangest random event so far?

For me it's been a scientist going rouge thinking the universe was a simulation and he thought he found a window outside..

Another favorite has been recieving a subspace transmission from outside the galaxy, that something massive was on the way..eventually leading to an invasion of an overwhelming force..ala Mass Effect Reapers

Put spoilers on title ;) finding stuff on your own is IMO the best part of the game.

Mine was finding some weird talking gas bags in a gas giant and being their errand boy for the next 200 years.

Mine was having a virus hijack my people and have them build it a habitat...or possibly when I found a bunker on a tomb world that had a bunch of alien minds stored in a supercomputer.

I found a ceramic pot orbit impossibly close to a star and it took like 2 years to research, when it got done they accomplishe nothing but asked very philisophical questions about the meaning of life. Plus 150 society

Thats a end game event like the A.I uprising and the unbidden (the worst one to get)

giant asteroid that was space poop

The Unbidden aren't *that* bad if you have the fleets to deal with them. If not then I guess you're screwed. But unlike the other endgame events, you can beat the invasion from beyond time and space in a single massive battle. Seeing fleets with 60k+ fleet power with strange-looking ships appearing out of nowhere and firing at you with really weird weapons is a bit unsettling, though.

Undoubtedly the biggest battle I've ever been involved in. I brought five fleets of 40k+ power plus vassals, and was still nervous for a while. Thinking that you're doing sort of well and then seeing another 60k+ worth of enemies emerging from the gate is... yeah.

What is Russel'sTeapot?

I found an ancient poem written by a precursor civilisation of one of my neighbours. After I researched it it gave me the option to return it, but because my race was xenophobic it also gave me the option to give them a call just to tell them how awfully bad this poem was :D Guess which one I chose ;) Now whenever I do any sort of diplomacy with them I have a negative opinion modifier called "Book Burner" XD Worth it!

Easily the "worm in the waiting" event chain. It's so rare I only had it in one single game ever. And it's so long and affects so many different small things throughout the galaxy. It will also greatly change your understanding of the Stellaris universe. Best random event ever.

Also, Rusell's teapot is a philosophical argument concerning the notion of burden of proof, specifically to do with religion. If I told you there is a completely normal teapot orbiting the sun somewhere between Earth and Mars would you believe me? You certainly couldn't disprove my claim, but is that enough to say this is actually true? What if I told you there is a man in the sky with the power to create worlds and life itself, but all he's preoccupied with these days is judging you when you masturbate, would you believe that too? An awful lot of people do believe it, unfortunately.
