Ability to Rename Species in-Game
It would be great to be able to rename species, especially since you start to modify traits it would be easier to locate the subspecies you would want to track down.

Is there a mod for that?

You can rename your empire but not a species.

Thats why I was asking if there is a way or to mod a new button "rename species" to make it distinguishable and easy to find the species you want.

I wish. Never seen one. It's possible if you found the file you could edit it.

It would be great since when you edit a species by modifying the trait it becomes a new species yet retains the same old species name... :(
