how do i get that to work in a multiplayer game? i cannot find the saves
On top of the perpetual Missing in Action, some fleets will be stuck in FTL, which requires deleting their current orders, in addition to replacing the entries.
I get this issue mostly as a result of integrating vassals into the empire. There seems to almost always be a fleet or two that go Missing in Action, which is unfortunate when you have a lot of vassals you are integrating. The default location in windows should be in the Documents/My Documents folder under Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\save games. Each game will have it's own separate folder of individual save files. Don't know if Multiplayer games save in a different location, but I'd start there or do a search on your computer for *.sav files, though that file extension is used by a number of other games such as Portal 2.
The annoying thing for me was everytime I renamed the file back to .sav when I had to fix an issue, windows would automatically load Portal...
