How to stop map pings?
I pinged a system to show a friend something..
But the ping won't stop...

It's getting annoying to watch the red circles non-stop comming..

It's been a long time that i had this problem...
And your solution did not work at that time, maybe it does now i don't know.

But for now.. i just simply stopped using the map pings completely to prevent it from happening.

Had this happen recently, and couldn't figure it out until I found an event for my science ship, clicked on the science ship on the right bar, right clicked the event and sent him to research manually. After this, the ping stopped...

They're talking about something else ;) You're thinking orange hexagonal pings that mark missions / events / other stuff. They're talking about big red circular pings that you make with Alt + Left Click.

Should get in the habit of checking dates before posting a reply.

I think most people don't give a damn about how old the thread is as long as it is relevant. Maybe you shouldn’t be upset over something that is relevant?

Hmm, I tried that method and it didn't work. It seems the pings don't go away if you pinged a star.

How do you ping in the first place?

For me, hitting left alt fixed it.

Ye, cus people still get that issue. I don't know a bug where this occurs for no real reason and also doesn't disappear. Usually, tho, double tapping L-STRG or L-Alt should fix it.
