How do you usually win?
Conquer everyone, crisis or by score`?

Also do yuo play until end-year or do you stop if you see ion line 2450 you are way beyond everyrone else ()or other way around)?

I usually win by score (or stop before end game) if I am not playing trhe crisis. It is a pain taking all systems (especially since it is a bit of whack-a-mole were smaller fleets might recapture some systems; howver it is a bit differtrent in 3.5 so maybe easier).

I suffer from Restartus and unfortunately there is no cure. I usually play to about year 290 and if I feel my start was ♥♥♥♥ or if I made some poor choices early game I usually restart. If I do win it's usually by score.

Victory by total annexation. I tend to tech rush in early game like most peeps. But also, PDX never fixed the AI trading exploits, so I tend to keep my first contact AI neighbors in line by trading excessive amounts of things I don't need (I play on the more Synthetic AI side of things) such as food if running around as Synths.
I'm easily satisfied by bombing planets into oblivion.

I usually start a new game after getting the achievement I'm after. Not sure what I'm going to do when I run out of achievements. They'll probably add more.

usually until i beat the crisis and get the score screen
but i tend to restart games quite often since i allways try new builds and restart when something goes wrong / adjust the build until i'm able to snowball into late

but sometimes i also do play for the achievements

Win by having more of everything, usually.

at the moment the military fleet FPS eater kills my game in midgame.... fighting wars with fleets that constantly decrease your FPS down to 1-5 fps ain't fun once you click on the fleet tab

Selecting Fleets became the new species tab.....

Hard to say. End game lag is defo a thing that makes you consider a restart. But usually it depends what my goal(s) were in that game. Most of the time once I feel like I can't do anything more I'll stop. Or if I can somehow predict how the game will go then I'll quit aswell. So if I got so powerful that I know that even if the rest of the galaxy would go up against me and I still know I'd win that war then there is no reason for me to play the game.

I think I've never painted the galaxy in my colors because it's just boring. Once you own half of the galaxy you are a god at that point.

This hits home. Playing with new builds and testing stuff is fun.

I stop when I'm invincible and it gets boring.

The only wins I made in this game was through crisis ascension.
I lack the patience for the other ways.

At the beginning of the game, I invest heavily in alloy production, science, fleet and intensively explore space with 6+ science ships and "Map the Stars" edict. My neighbors must love me. As soon as the level of trust rises, I enter into a vassal contract with them or create a federation. From this point everything should be fine. Your vassals generate a huge amount of points to push you to the top of the list, leaving 80% of the empires behind.
Your further task until the end of the game is to continue to increase the output of science and the strength of the fleet, establish logistics between the planets to easily reach any point in your empire, build mega structures and survive. It's also very beneficial to integrate several Fallen empires into yours because they have a huge amount of workers in their urban worlds such as the Holy Throne, Mother, Brother, etc..

Victory by boredom

I haven't. At some point it feels pointless to continue, so I don't. But, I might try it in my current game. I've almost conquered all the AI. I might do it once just to say I've done it... also I've no idea if there is an animation or something that plays ala Civ.

There is only one way to make it to late game. Have the biggest federation, highest number of research vassals, highest number of branch offices, highest number of strongholds.

If you have less than that your giving the ai the win.
