Every system is unknown until you survey it
Area is surveyed i'm refering to the areas beyond the area I surveyed. these are teh "Unknown" area
And they will remain unknown until you send a ship out there. You will notice that everyone is confused by what you are saying, which may be that you are not explaining it too well. With hyperspace you must follow the hyperspace lanes ( marked by white lines ), send your science ship along these to unknown systems to survey them.
