Instant build bug?
I have made 3 new maps, and I am trying to just move my homeworld to a spot I want so i have been turning on all techs.

After about 10 mins all of my buildings get instant build.

Looking at it,it seems that the time for all the buildings has been removed, all other build functions have a time for them except buildings.

I don't think its a mod issue. I keep running into it too after using research_technologies (I'm mostly screwing around at moment waiting for the fleet balance). The only mods I have active are a self made one that adds a starter system and tweaks synth pop build times and a name list. Perhaps its related to using the research techs console cheat.

No i have this same thing, It's werid. It just started doin it, and I have no mods. The build time should be about a week for any land buildings, and instant_build cheat is off. I am confused.

Instant build times isn't necessarily a bug - if you lower your construction time enough through repeatable techs and have a governor that specializes in construction you can reduce construction time by 100%

Yea, I have a base building time of 11 days and it's reduced by a totalt of 65% of various bonuses. Still should take about a week tho. 11 x .65 = 7

Ya thats not the event happeneing, It was a bug in the game from using research_tech. it happens randomly or i turned off the mod that was causing the bug.

Three words: Mobile Garanthium(sp?) works. It applies -10% build time to the empire... and another -10% for the planet it is built on. Add in the Infrastructure Projects edict with Governer Architectural Interest and you can get buildings that cost next to nothing as well. Meh...until 1.3 arrives.
