NAP
How in the world do you make one? I find literally no option anywhere, even the wikia doesn't help in describing it! Where are the steps? I have a friendly empire with +70 attitude, and they're completely green toward me. I don't understand, lol.

For 'invite to alliance' which I do see, there's a bse -50 modifier for whatever god knows reason, and its set right now at -25 because of other various things.

Also would like to know how to set a defensive pact. Don't see that added anywhere either.

In the diplomacy window there should an option for non Aggression Pact same with defensive pact, do you have any mods that would change the diplomacy?

No, I got like 10 mods I think, one for federation size requirement, and border friction. The others are various little gameplay tweaks.

This is what I get, in for reference:

As you can see, no option anywhere. This is a new empire that I've not had any dealings with. We just get along on ideals, and yet there's no way to add NAP or defensive pact. Why?

Is there some sort of social technology I have to research to add the ability, similar to federation pact, that lets me add it?

This may sound incredibly insulting but... Have you tried scrolling down?

Yes. It doesn't really move the dialogue box all that far.

that's because you are in an alliance (at least i think the icon in the bottom right is the indicator for an alliance).

some diplomatic treaties are disabled when you are in an alliance. for whatever reason. i don't really understand *why* that's the case, but i noticed that you can't sign NAP or defense pacts with third parties if you are in an alliance (or federation)

I'm not in any relation with that particular Empire, actually. Unless you meant being in an Alliance with one Empire makes you ineligible to be in an NAP with another...which is just...what? O.o
