Not Starting

I have played this for a long time, and all of a sudden, it will launch the game, but won't show a percentage or move the loading bar. I tried waiting and nothing happened. The only temporary fix I've found is to reinstall the game, but I have to do this each time I turn on my computer. Does anyone know what could cause this? It happens even without mods.

This is the second post like this today, I haven't tried the supposed fix myself yet but if you use Giga Diversity 2 Electric Boogaloo should resolve the issue. (I am only trying this myself right now.)

try switching out of fullscreen mode in the launcher before hitting launch

I am having the same problem. Close to 30 min ago the game worked fine. I restarted it to switch from full screen to a window screen and now the game loads but the game screen is frozen. Hitting the windows button and selecting the Stellaris tab on the bottom bar shows me the game but I can not select anything. I can still hear the UI sounds as my mouse runs over the in game buttons however the game screen is frozen. I have verified the files and even re-installed and nothing fixes the problem. I have NO mods. So you and I are stuck in the same boat.

Uninstalling and reinstalling all my mods helped

I had problems with that today, and I think it was mod related. I have 38 mods, including Gigastructural and Planetary Diversity. Crashed when it got to 100%.

Simple fix was to uninstall and reinstall mods. That's what worked for me. Hope it helps!

OK. I have No idea what the hell just happen. All I did is turn off my VSync in the launcher game setting and now the game work fine.

Hi, I have this exact issue that's just started.

I have launched it within a window, re-installed, have no mods, have deleted Paradox Launcher v2 and reloaded, verified game files, attempted to alter game launcher settings as described above (I have no VSync, no idea what you're talking about). All I get is the loading screen with a completely frozen loading progress bar that just sits there.
