I'm clueless on Secret Fealty. Green check marks at 900+, my underling policy is set to beneficial.

Still fealty broken the very next month, and acceptance for the next one is at 900+ again.

Same thing - any ideas what's causing it, or how to work around it?

It gives you a Causus Belli to go to war with their overlord in order to take over their protectorate/vassal status. If you don't use that to replace the boot on their neck with your own, they'll try to find someone else who will.

Yep run into this with about 1/4 of the ppl I offer secret fealty. Been able to work around it by waiting to very last minute to offer it (if they are canceling in a month or so) then declaring war the day after they accept.
