Revolts and Rebellions: possible to prevent?
It seems like revolts, once you get the warning about them, are impossible to prevent. You can try to declare martial law, distribute luxury goods, crack down on crime, build precincts....and yet rebellion is inevitable once the chain begins.

I was able to stop a few... All pops were being purged, all pops. I landed assault armies and used stability edicts and it resolved without rebellion. I haven't seen any game text that would make me think assault armies would make a difference but they did. This was about 100 armies. You could also try making the pops happier but in my case of purging, that was not possible.

If a planet has low "stability" and/or "happiness" due to recent conquest or other "external events"...
Do NOT wait for a "Revolt Warning" pop-up to try a and fix a problem.

If micro managing organics is a too much of a chore, Driven Assimilators are always an option...
