War and Diplomacy, Secret Fealty and Vassalage -- Things getting complicated
Hey,
I got in a ratehr complicated situation.
I'm in a war to liberate an empire (Empire A) from vassalage (secret fealty, yea they will still be vassals afterwards but my vassals - which is something completly different)
The enemy also has another vassal (Empire B), who was part of this war in the beginning - fighting me and my ally - and than left the war. (1st question here: how?)
I support the independence of Empire B also.
Now this war takes forever for reasons which i not really understand, he wont accept surrender cause of unoccupied systems and planets. (god knows which systems and planets that would be).
In the mean time Empire B declared war on their overlord, and because i'm supporting their independence im dragged in this war also and so are all allies and vassals of the enemy including my ally (Empire A) from the first war. So know it is all a mess where i am fighting 2 wars in which the same empire (Empire A) is my ally in one and my enemie in another.
Did you get the problem? Whats this mess ? It doesn make lot of sense to me!
Long story short: Are there some mods who treat this kind of problem? other solutions?

No answer to your problem, but I do wish you had the option of refusing secret fealty. I had one game where a minor nobody megacorps kept swearing secret fealty to me from the other side of the galaxy. I was a megacorps myself, leading a federation that blocked 3rd party treaties (wanted all those foreign markets to myself ;P ), so I certainly wasn't gonna have an opposing corps in the fed.

I ended up having to abandon the game because every month, the other corps kept swearing, and I found no way to make them stop.

I have to admit that i don t know nothing about megacorps and also the federations mechanics, i dont know them that well. so i m not really getting the problem .
I m still kind of new to the game (accumulating hours realy fast though -- hell of an addiction)
i guess you could send an envoy to ruin your relations though, so they dislike you too much to pledge a secret fealty to you. If you have an envoy to spare.

Yea, or just insult them a couple of times.
