doesn't know what repeatables are -1
you're on thin ice, bucko
By that point, you will probably have researched the "auto-pick next research" tech, and just toggle it on and let her rip to save on micro management if you don't want to think about queing up the next repeatable. Or, if you are the min-max type, focus the repeatables for shields and weapons damage, whatever floats your boat.
So Marty - do you drive a sports car perhaps?
Anyway - I know Moo, I purchased my first Stellaris This May, never played before - have most of the DLC except, for now Overlords + Nemesis + a few race packs.
So I have the features of the 4.2 but not the specifics added by Overlords...yet.
I'm at year 2415 so far and no Crisis, just the single sleeper who awoke just a few months ago - keeping to itself. It has 3 fleets of 190K 190K 203K. Against the regular empire AI fleets my 70/30% battleship + titan fleets are mopping up well.
So in all my readings and video research I hear "repeatables" with the assumption everyone has been playing for a while knows it. Searching for this phrase in different ways got no results - thus the question here. My tech tree has been having these pop up for a while now so that was a guess.
Not sure what you were searching for. But there are several results explaining what repeatables is if you search for "Stellaris repeatables" on google. The information isn't hidden or hard to find in anyway.
P.S Don't mistake this for me saying that you shouldn't ask the question here, i don't mind people being lazy from time to time and asking other people stuff rather then looking them up themselves, just saying that "searching for this phrase in different ways got no results" is kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Some repeatable techs can only be researched a limited number of times, e.g. Admiralty Support Staff (Fleet Cap) won't appear anymore after researching it 5 times. All others are unlimited.
The Russian Mod site a little lower down gives a better clue - but only by implication when reading through it. https://stellaris.smods.ru/archives/33280 - some of the others also have to be read between the lines but yes.
Principally I was interested in why the fleet design sites would mention "[this] design and fleet composition will win 80% of the time against opposing fleet composed of [that]...before repeatables."
Unfortunately they DO NOT then go ahead and specify best fleet design after repeatables, or provide a link to their version of that. Example: would lasers or kinetics ever become preferable over neutron launchers after x rounds of energy weapon fire rate or damage+5% ?
The best designs after defensive repeatable are the arc emmiters with disruptors/cloud lightning (by focusing on energy weapon repeatables too), because they bypass the shields and armor (which are increasable with the repeatable techs) and hit the hull directly (which isn't something you can increase infinitely with tech).
Hmm - nevermind - Ship Designer does not show any bonuses - but inspecting an existing ship DOES show the +bonus.
So I changed google search to only show results from now to -1 year. So those older repeatables results were not showing up. Funny nobody has discussed them in about a year
