Tracking, Accuracy, Chance to Hit....
Does anyone know what the relationship is between these stats (Tracking, Accuracy, Chance to Hit) with regards towards weapon stats? Most weapons have Tracking and Accuracy stats, but the Auxiliary Fire Control chip has a bonus to Chance to Hit. Does Chance to Hit affect the Tracking and/or Accuracy stats of weapons? (I assume so, but I am unaware of how and where).

Real question is when should I choose something other then an Auxiliary Fire Control chip over something else for some of my top end ship setups, but I do wish to know the "science" behind it all.

Accuracy is chance to hit, they're the same stat.

It always applies, but it's capped at 100%, so if a ship has 0 evasion, you will always hit it if you're at 100% accuracy. But if a ship has 50% evasion, you'll still only hit it 50% of the time, even with 100% accuracy. Base Accuracy depends on the weapon used, you can see it in their tooltips.

Tracking exists only to counter Evasion. If a ship has no evasion, tracking will do nothing.

Thanks. Got the math I needed from the wiki link.

Essentially, the Tracking directly subtracts from an enemy ship's Evasion stat, then the Chance to Hit stat is applied versus what is left of the enemy's evasion afterwards.

While I do understand the math, I wish it was displayed a little more intuitively in the in-game weapon tool tips.
