How get psionics as materialists?

Running militarist clone army origin, need materialist to get robots so I can get more planets as xeno's deserve death but want psionics as those stack with the clone army chad acceptance bonuses. How do I do this as easily as possible?
Randomly hoping for the research seems impossible as 2x materialist.
Expecting any of my leaders to magically turn psionic seems impossible.
Starting as spiritualist and then going over to materialist seems a pain.

Advice?
