this game is complex and a bit overwhelming. i am so disappointed that Paradox has not included a manual. Spending countless number of hours surfing forum discussions looking for help and also you-tube videos is very time consuming. i miss the good old days when you visited a store, took a game box home, opened it and found a manual and sometimes extra "goodies" from the publisher, like a technology chart.

could not the publisher have done a manual with an option to download for an extra small fee > like $5.

This, the only thing lacking is a good built-in tutorial but the best you can do is watch any number of tutorial guides to learn the basics, in fact there's two that are up to date and less than half an hour each.

Anything else is in the pinned thread here which is more in-depth but out of date but can still be useful.

thanks for the Wiki link. Forgot about that possibility. I am a happy gamer now. does "IG" mean "in game"?

Yes, there's an icon in the bottom right corner of the screen that opens an IG browser.
