is administrative capacity not in the game anymore?
because i still have the ascension perks in my game that add 20% admin capacity and they do nothing to the "empire size restriction" or whatever you want to call it. Stellaris time and again seems to like to try and radically change game mechanics or at least alter stuff that I dont think really needs altering...

Yes and no.
at the moment the 'admin cap' is removed.
but the Empire size still 'limits' you to 100 points.
after that you get de-buffed to an X degree per point.
But the system to my thinking isn't fully done.
and the 20% cap buff you are asking about.......doesn't effect your 100 point cap.
some mods are trying to change that but to my info I haven't found one that works.
or if I have it and don't know how to get it to work.

Looking at the wiki, I see no ascension perk that says anything about admin capacity. Do you play with mods? You may have a mod that effects ascension perks or something that hasn't been updated properly.

not sure about percentage modifier, but the additive modifier(while not in base game)is still usable for modding

I think imperial prerogative had this effect until 3.3. Probably an outdated mod that overrides the ascension perks file.

Yeah i play with mods, I was thinking that may be the reason.

basically anything to do with admin cap just modifies your stat of Empire Size. bigger the size, the more stuff costs. its definetly not perfect. but once you got a grasp on it, its pretty easy to understand.

Just put the pops you would've put into boosting admin cap into tech and unity jobs and you'll be fine.

basically this. when stuff starts costing more, scale production of those things bigger. its still possible end game to get all the repeatable technologies to take only a year each run because your tech amount is rediculous.

ya i see it now, its just that one ascension perk that is still not updated to something like reduces empire size effect by 20%, that would basically be equivalent...but not.
