How can I see enemy planets?
Hey, I find it rather annoying that if I am warring a large enemy faction, and already occupied several of their systems, I can't find a way to conveniently see which of the dozens of systems has a habited enemy planet. I have to look into each one and also remember which ones I looked at already.
When not occupied, there is the enemy faction's icon to the left of the system's name if it has a habited planet, but when the system is occupied, the icon of my faction is in it's place regardless of planet status.

Is there some convenient view mode that I didn't realize yet, or it is really intended to be this tedious?

If you conquer a system but not the planet you have your flag icon.
If you conquer a system and the planet is will have your flag icon with arrows pointing out of it.
It is a small change that is easy to overlook.

To see what i mean go to a conquered system you know you control the planets off and look at your flag.
Now do the same with a system you conquered but dont have the planet off.
You will notice one has arrows on it and the other does not.

^^^
Its easy to recognize once you realize the logo is different between conquered empty system and conquered system with enemy planet.

you'd still have to manually check systems for planets, all that shows is how many not where.

like others have said, just look for the spikes around your flag on enemy systems, if they aren't there then there is something that needs capturing/destroying
Sorry for the necro but bless yall for this. Running round crazy looking at systems before this

Hm, this doesn't work for me.
What you say is partly true, but I can see conquered systems with enemy planets that don't have blue spikes in galaxy view.

They are unsurveyed, but I can see blue spikes in systems that are unsurveyed too... I don't know why the spikes don't show :'(.

This wastes so much of my time!

sounds like you're mistaking the little triangles for capital and sector capital for the fully occupied spikes.

fully occupied spikes will show up around the occupier's flag marker on a system.

Yes, you are right. I meant to update that :)
Shame we cannot add images for extra clarity :/

you can add screenshots saved to steam easily, don't think i have any regarding this particular situation

To be extra clear here is my take on it:
All these options are for occupied starbase
The base colour is the colour of the emblem.
  1. No colonized planets: base colour spikes
  2. Planets that aren't occupied: no spikes
  3. All planets occupied: base colour spikes
  4. Capital planet, unoccupied: turquoise spikes
  5. Capital planet, occupied: turquoise spikes covered by base colour flags

This has been reported/suggested to fix the UI MANY times over the last few years with no result, pdx just ignores us.

Yes it was. Point is in being able, when waging war, to easily access systems/planet that are part of war goal. There should be a button at the war screen that allows you to see entire list and iterate through them without having to find each one manually.

The tooltip from your screenshot doesn't help here:
- it lists ALL planets, not contested ones
- it provides no way to check status of the system/planet (occupied or not)
- it provides no way to navigate to it to plan your logistics

Simply said, it's useless.

If in doubt after "winning" your war, select one of the enemy planets and tab through them to see which ones you're missing.
