Stellaris Database Error, Crash
I'm having some issues with Stellaris.
First, when I open the launcher, it says:
"Database Error: Database migration failed. Most likely, your database file has been affected by a newer version of the launcher. Remove/rename the file 'C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\launcher-v2sqlite' and try again"
When I delete or rename the file, the message doesn't pop up the next time the launcher opens, but it does each time after that.
The second issue is that whenever I try to launch Stellaris, everything seems fine (apart from the aforementioned error in the launcher) until the 30% mark, at which point the sound falters for a second, comes back, but then the game crashes. Always at 30%.
I'm not sure if these issues are related, but I would like to get this fixed as soon as possible, as Stellaris is one of my favourite games, and I'd like to keep playing it.
If anyone can help that would be very much appreciated.

30% I have heard this issue can't remember but 30% is key to solving.

I'm having this issue too. I tried verifying the files. I tried a fresh reinstall. Nothing worked so far. It crashes on initial load. When it does, It crashes when I try to save a new custom empire. I'm pretty sure it'll crash at other times. This only started happening after I bought and downloaded aquatics.

The game was pre enabling the mods i had subscribed to. I had to unsubscribe and remove them from the initial playset in order to get Stella just to initially load up to main menu.

See you're having some trouble with the launcher, I have a few steps here that may help you:

1) UninstallParadox Launcher v2 in Add/Remove Programs, then relaunch the game. Stellaris will redownload the launcher. You should wait for it to download the update, close and relaunch the launcher before trying to start the game.
2) Some launcher issues are caused by conflicts with antivirus active protections, like AVG or Avast. Add Stellaris/Paradox Launcher v2 to the exceptions list to any antivirus program you're running with active protections.
3) If all of this doesn't work, go to support.paradoxplaza.com and open a ticket, and customer support will be able to help you with this issue.

Hope this helps!
