Be Freed or Stay Slave?
Hi Hi!

I have a question. Cuz i find no answer in the game. And not sure about that tho. If my nation have banned slavery, and Xenophile, and against any creature right breaking behaviour, like Slave trade.

So, if when i bought slaves from the market that means they are be freed when arrive in my nation right? Or they get enslaved here also?

For me it sounds logical they be freed, but Paradox have huge paradoxes in their mind and thousands of times they prove to us, meaningless how something logical and reasonable, for them, its works differently.
So?

Anybody can answer to me please? Pretty Please?? :cure:

If slavery is illegal in your country then any slaves you purchase automatically become free.

Any slaves basically become free pops. It's kind of like accepting refugees really.

Don't know why you would ban slavery though and miss out on that production bonus, that and removing pops from their home and spreading them out so you can put your own species in to control them.

If you've banned slavery then any slaves you purchase (or capture by conquest) will be set free.

You also get charged extra when buying slaves though.

If your not a slaver you pay double the cost if the slave would have been freed.

I HATE slavery. And until i play a species what loves to force labor others, i Never allow Slavery. Prefer to be a positive force in the galaxy instead of full evil trashface. Or be the Damnation itself and watch how they stop me. :)

The Xenophiles make for good wide empires. As the idea of expanding and accepting all within reassures the people the attacking empire is not genocidal. If going on idea that war is inevitable 'economy of scale for governments', but that genocide is last century.

A healthy demography is one that is equally split up by opportunity for the pops. No need for singular perfection when the perfection is the uniqueness of each ones traits. Genocidal empires will disagree, but they will be forced to put up with lol. They are the scourge of life after all.

Also easy targets cause they get mass attacked or you can attack them at homeland if off to war.

The slavers are trying to compensate or use their slaving to go tall play. The primary advantage to high standards is less crime and really high tolerance until loss of colony. That in if you go below 40% stability with slaves they radicalise, while an egalitarian society this only happens below 25%. Which is a huge buffer zone difference.

If you pay to free slaves you pay DOUBLE because your people doesn't want you to deal with slaves. Now that's some logic.

Well, if it was anything like real life, you would also support slavery by buying them and freeing them, since you are creating a demand. Slavers will then capture/make more slaves to fill that demand. Basically, all you are doing is making slavers richer and making the slave trade prosper.

That is true. But selling slaves you do lose in long run. I've tried the tactic. The other empire gets the height over you. Its much better to acquire them even if double price. They lose a pop selling*

I am not support Slavery. If you played the game you Have to know, the slacery market appears no matter how you ban it in your nation. There is no other option. But at least i can buy them and freeing them until the Galactic Stupidity vote to ban organic trade.

Well, again if it was realistic, you are indeed supporting slavery.

If you buy slaves (for any reason) you end up supporting slavery (in act if not in word). Once again the end result of buying and freeing slaves is that you just make the slavers rich and they just get more slaves to meet the demand making the slave trade prosper.

The more realistic approach would be declaring ideology war on the slaver empires to change their ways and (as you mentioned) ban slave trade on the galactic market. If you are against slavery, you should never ever buy a slave since all you are doing is (once again) supporting the slave trade.
