Grey Tempest Warning Event? (New?)(Spoilers?)

I found a arctic planet with a abandoned observation post.
The Planet had "ruined city" special feature.
Upon researching the anomaly I got a message explaning about a powerful species that was wiped out by the gatekeepers "The Grey Tempest".

Never seen this one before, curious if when I hope the L-Gates it will be the Grey Tempest or not. if it IS, does this mean that they added some "Hint" events as to what L-Gate outcome will be?

the grey tempest is a midgame crisis, that can indeed spawn in the L cluster. it has been part of the game since forever

Triggering those early is a problem. Anything to do with those is a "game over" unless titans & BS with full tech loadout. I'm sure they can be countered in some fashion early with extensive patience & strategy I guess. I don't like options being limited lol!

The Tempest doesn't need titans/battleships, Corvettes with shield piercing weapons work too if you bring some PD, Destroyers with mostly PD will also work as only the motherships have weapons that aren't countered by PD.

You've all incorrectly understood the point of this post.

I am aware of the Grey Tempest as it is a game mechanic for one of the outcomes of the L-Cluster. That isn't the point of this topic.

This post was for this Anomaly about a long dead civilization that was destroyed by the grey tempest before they were trapped in the L-cluster.
The Anomaly is something I haven't seen before, and im curious if it is a WARNING that the L-gate opening in this game will be infact the Grey Tempest.
