When is the Isolate Gas Giant Signal event going to get a fix?

In this event a random gas planet is chosen for the gas people to be relocated to. There's one problem. It can pick a planet that's impossible to get to, whether you're enemies with the species that holds it or if your warp drives simply aren't advanced enough to jump a spiral. This happens far more often than I'd like. I haven't been able to complete this mission in months. For the love of god please make a limit to the random range of planets so I don't have to keep savescumming my Ironman game over this stupid oversight.

I already know it doesn't. I've completed this months before. There's another event where you need to move someone else. Guess what can happen to this event as well.

it's not impossible, you just need to put more effort into it

The time limit is the issue, not effort. It usually expires before you can upgrade your FTL drives or get into a war with your foe.
