Maybe there's an immortal trait
Necriod with venerable trait live for 250 years at least.
That is a long time to get the live expending tech.
Expertise: Biology increases chance to get life expending tech.
Tho mods are your best bet.
(and hope this god doesn’t eat him in 400 years
Big necro.
You don't need the teachers of the shroud origin for the Chosen One event. Either the proper one or the Entity specific ones.
The Under One Rule origin also has a built in way to make your ruler immortal if they survive long enough.
All ascension methods add a lot of lifespan, so rushing those does usually make them live long enough. For Psionic you kind of need the Zroni precursors anyways, these have an edict for +30 years and a Shroud event for another +50.
Then there are some events / anomalies i almost always get, like the Alien Box (+10) and The Tree (+15).
Now there's also the Aptitude tradition which i always take first, giving another +20.
The chosen one trait you get from religious play style.
There is a trait you often get on a scientist that make them immortal, if your government allows for scientist to be in charge, ideally again, swap to a dictatorship.
The under one rule origin there is like... up to 3-5 different ways the leader can become immortal. If they survive that long*.
Another way is to out science the aging process, to rush the repeatable techs. This tactic is better elevated by using the venerable trait to stack an extra 80 years life span to species. You can opt to use lithoids, which will slow growth slowing science but also stack a couple to few extra decades. Running Necrophage origin on top, stacks another 80 years to ruler. With an extra couple hundred years your leader will make it to mid game and thus your science should be able to get an extra 50 years before then.
You... might lose the first set of rulers but for every couple hundred years + of lifespan the interval of death will get longer and longer. Also note going cyborg if your able to stacks even more leader lifespan.
You will need to absorb the whole galaxy for this tactic as... well... you need alot' of resources for science.
