Base Game vs Starter Edition

Hi, i want to buy the game but i don't know what bundle to buy. I know that the Starter Edition have two expansions and i think that could be very useful because a lot of people told me that Stellaris without DLC'S isnt enjoyable. What should i buy to start, obviously i am asking because i dont want to throw my money in something that i wont use in my first plays. Thanks in advance :)

Buying all expansions is too expensive, best is to find a good offer for the base game. On Steam now prices are too high for an old game and currently with latest update it might take sometime before it's polished with more fixes, especially when it comes to mods the game has too many issues.
Anytime you decide to buy best to get Utopia, Apocalypse expansions then all story packs and Humanoid Species pack. You don't have to buy everything from start unless you find them cheap. Apart Humanoid Species it's not worth to waste money on additional species there are lots in base game.

Species packs are mostly opinion, but personally plantoids or lithoids (lithoids also gives a different gameplay option using minerals instead of food) over humanoids, but any of the other DLCs over the species packs unless you really like the looks of any of them.
