How do I change a Eucmetropinan world into something else?
I have obtained an artifact (The Last Baol) and I am unable to use it because all of my colonized worlds are Eucmetropinan worlds, and the uncolonized worlds have no designation or option for anything except Terraforming.

The Last Baol, if you aren't familiar, when activated allows you to change any world into a Gaia world. I would like to try this, but I have been unable to figure out how to make my worlds something other than Eucmetropinan in nature. Any ideas on this would be appreciated.

You can't terraform an Ecumenopolis even with the Relic/Artifact.

Does the "Gaia" option show up in the Terraforming window? The option to use the artifact might be in there.

Are these uncolonized worlds inside your borders? The artifact might require a world within your territory. Or, possibly, the artifact only works on planets you've already colonized? (that last one isn't likely, I'm making guesses here)

The artifact activates and puts a DECISION on colonized worlds only. But it wont work until the world is no longer a Eucmetropinan world

You aren't meant to be able to terraform Ecumenopolis worlds. If the Nu-Baol isn't working, the only options I can think of are either armageddon bombardment, or completion of the Horizon Signal event chain.

Also, what do you mean they don't have a designation? You shouldn't need anything, just colonize the planet, use the relic immediately after, then use the Nu-Baol Life Seeding decision.

As for terraforming in general, you need certain tech to be able to terraform inhabited planets. If you want to terraform into a Gaia World normally, you need the World Shaper ascension perk.

Edit: Just saw your comment. You aren't supposed to be able to use the decision on worlds that aren't colonized.

Ecumenopolis is a way more valuable planet than Gaia. That said you probably don't need more than two unless you go really hard on raiding pops. Beyond that, sure, using baol to make everything else Gaia is helpful. Tip: activate it even if you don't have a planet ready to upgrade, you can hold the decision. That way the cool down for the next use gets started.

I have only ever been able to get Eucmetropinan worlds. I play Humans, starting on Earth. Earth STARTS as a Eucmetropinan world. So as I understand you, Earth can never be improved. Every other world I colonize starts off as a Eucmetropinan world as well. I thought making those worlds a Generator world, or a Agrarian World, et would change that, but the "X - Not on an Eucmetropinan world" disclaimer keeps coming up on the Decision option.

With things as they are, unless someone tells me something different, I see absolutely no use for this artifact.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

earth shouldnt be starting as an ecumenopolis unless you have mods. likewise, planets should not become ecumenopoli without player input. they're city-planets, a planet doesnt just randomly become a giant city.

figure out what mod you have that's causing this and remove it.

(alternatively, there's severe miscommunication happening in this thread. posting a screenshot of these planets may help especially one thats uncolonized and the same one after colonization)

If all the worlds OP has or colonizes are ecumenopolises, or ecumenopoli, or whichever, then there's some kind of bug happening.

Ecumenopolis
Cannot be terraformed again
The only pre-existing ecumenopolis is the homeworld of the Keepers of Knowledge Fallen Empire

What's that got to do with the topic? OP specifically and repeatedly asked about Eucmetropinan worlds.

Ok, maybe I am misunderstanding something, but, if Earth is NOT an Eucmetropinan world to start, then why wont the blasted artifact DECISION work on it? The reason given is that it doesn't work on Eucmetropinan worlds. So, I admit, I had ASSUMED this meant that Earth is one. Same with all of the other worlds. Damn it, Ill try to get a screen shot.

Either A - severe mistranslation going on
Or B - mods
Eucmetropinan isn't a thing. So if you're not talking about ecumenopolis then I'd say mods.
