Is there a way to nominate the guy to be Emperor, so I can tear him down later for the achievement??
2. Nominate AI
3. Load the game in multiplayer as your own empire, exit to autosave
4. Load the game in singleplayer, elect the emperor and overthrow him
5. Profit
This is possible with a single player Ironman game? I have 9800 hours into Stellaris and never knew this.
If you don't use this option, are there any specific empire types that are more likely to request Custodianship / Emperor?
I've played through 6 games so far (under 3.0) and obtained all but 2 achievements: Sic Semper Tyrannis and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Blorg. In 4 complete games I just cannot get anyone else to be Custodian.
As for the multiplayer thing, it's super easy to do, I learned about it in this thread too. If you're nervous, just copy your game folder to desktop so that if you break it, you can just copy it back. But you won't break it. You can consider this to be cheating.
If you have a problem with cheating or 'cheating', though, I don't know what AI personalities are more likely to push for galactic...
The only custodian I saw had his term end on him during his vote to not have a term limit =/
I did exactly like it is said and it works.
Im not understanding step 1.
For step 2 Do you then play the game until you are able to form the galactic community and nominate yourself as empire custodian. Then save and log out and then reload the game as another faction?
How do you get the save files to switch between the single player and multiplayer? Im not seeing it?
2. click on multiplayer-->Host save game-->select your savegame load it now you end up in a screen where you can select an empire to play as-->click on an the AI empire that is the custodian
3. nominate the AI custodian empire for the emporer thingi wait for a month to pass=Autosave
4. repeat step 2 but this time select your own empire wait for the month to pass=autosave(if you dont do this and load the game in singleplayer you will end up playing as the Ai empire)
5. Load your game in the singleplayer like you awlways do. Go to diplomatic screen and vote in favour for the empire to become the emporer. Wait until the resolution was successful.
6. Profit
Thank you. This is helpful.
