Robot assembly plants after synthetic ascension?
As you may know, as organics you can build robot assembly plants on planets to assemble robots in addition to your growing pops. However, after you go through synthetic evolution, the "robot production slot" is now producing your new synthetic species (regardless of whether or not there's a plant).

So the question I had is if there's any purpose to having assembly plants after synthetic ascension. I have them built on most of my planets and I can't figure out if they're doing anything now. The tooltips say nothing about it, google doesn't know either. Are they producing additional robots? I don't think so. Are they speeding up the synthetic pop production? Doesn't seem like it but I can't tell.

Should I just delete them all and replace with more useful buildings?

They should. Hover over your growth meter and check modifiers.
Synth ascension makes your capital building have 1, 2 or 3 roboticist jobs depending on its tier, while the plants have 1 more job.

They still add one roboticist job each and besides upgrading your capital buildings that's the only way to get more.
Use them until your nearly finish developing that planet with pops. Then replace them for more useful building
Aah, roboticists, I see. I'm still new at the game so I didn't think in terms of jobs. This makes sense, thanks! :)
