Are Psychic Cyborgs still possible?
I was just wondering if anyone knows if it's still possible to get psychic cyborgs since the most recent update? I've never tried to do it but am trying to give it a go--have been trying in my last through games but no luck.

I think they removed it in patch 3.03 so you would have to mod it back in if you wanted to combine ascensions again.

Its probably lore balancing thing, they want players to go head to head saying whether cyborgs are better than psions. Or vice versa lol

Psionics arent AS bad as they used to be. Taking the Gaia terraforming perk helps, as Gaia planets also have more planet capacity and terraforming auto clears blockers.

Considering psionic tech do not spawn in the research tree properly. How much better can it be. Psionic HQ reduce crime but do not spawn defenses, how is it better than police state. Xenomorphic army stronger than your psionics and giants or relic warmachines outnumber in health and has no morale, which makes them able to survive crisis armies. Research buff is just adding materialist basic buff and mainly lucky to gain psionic theory with a materialist faction. You have some increase in fleet power. But there's a road ahead to reach endgame.

psionic can be glorious if running a religious empire as your empires ethics and pop ethics played right align giving more happiness and faction influence. Partly due to how the religious building and modifiers can increase spiritualist attraction.

psyonic offers to the ruler spot +0.5 influence
plus 5% stability for governors, +10% research to scientists, a hefty +10% damage and 15% evasion to admirals that have it.

Cyborgs main bonus is that you have greater habitability on harsh worlds. That is the pops. For leaders you get an additional 5% minerals from jobs if governor, +5% research for scientists, admirals get another +5% to fire rate,

If both the psyonic trait and cyborg trait were combined on any leader, other than maybe the generals as those aren't that useful inherently, the bonuses stack together. A 5% increase even is not small when it scales over a large fleet for example.

If the op is stating you could have both on one leader (I wasn't playing at that point), the bonuses I no doubt think would have been worth swapping between religious and materialist ethics to get those leaders.

I also want to note that direct opposite ethics swap is the easiest If only one point in as it will skip over the center to the other side preserving your other one or two empire ethics.

Mostly it's for a RP playthrough. I might just command it in or try mod it as part of the species origin.

Edit: Looks like they kept the trait when I went synth ascension too. I'm not going to get any new psychic pops, but you can apparently bank a full spread of immortal psychic scientists before ascending.

Indeed. Only way to get it as a Leader is with Console Commands.

Probably due to some outdated mods you are using.

IIRC the ability to get both cyborg/synth+psychic leader traits was removed in patch 3.02 or something
