how to get rid of contingency planets?
I'm kind of stuck in a stalemate with the contingency where I can rebuild faster than they can destroy my systems, but I can't seem to get enough military power to rival their homeplanets since they're 200k strong. My fallen empire allies are to lazy to use any of their fleets to crack the planet either.
If it weren't for the autonomous cores I'd have a chance, but I don't want to spend a half hour just grinding out fleets... Any quick way to get rid of them?
Even with the defender of galaxy perk they're still too powerful
edit: since everyone seems to be pretty patronizing I need to clarify that my naval strength is at least 100k but they move so fast clumping them all together would be a bad idea. I need to get one fleet to 200k so I can split them up. this is also my first time playing against a crisis

Their defence is just 200k?

That's ONE of my lategame battleship fleets...

Unless you've been messing with the end game year or neglecting your research, 200k fleet power for their core planets is pretty laughable.

The best you can do is just battleship spam with a meta load-out (in this case a giga cannon and neutron launchers) and as many shields as you can use, things are even easier if you have cloud lightning as you can do piercing load-outs instead with those and an arc emitter.

let me guess, you play on cadet and have 200 alloys by 2400?

as long as you play properly you will have ten 200k fleets by 2400 and if you aim to get maximum possible fleet you can have double or tripple

if for some reason you can't handle them, just make fortress habitat in chokepoint and dump 500 pops on it, it will stop AI from moving anywhere for ages.

some FEs have planet cracker, but in most cases they are not using it, if planet cracker is moving around, just snip it and forget, they won't rebuild it.

I'm not playing on cadet

Keep economy just rolling while spamming alloy buildings. Also spam anchorages. Get battleships with the "X" weapon front and place a giga cannon on it ( or whatever you can ). Get all the other parts named "artillery". Give the ships artillery AI. Equip all the "L" weapon slots you now have with neutron launchers ( tier two big bombs, look blue ). Make a couple new fleets. Spam like 150 fleet capacyity ( minimum! ) with those battleships. Give them a titan each too ( if you have apocalypse dlc, that is ) Get all these fleets into one giant stack of death.

Done.

You really need to be patient and just be aware of your surroundings. I managed to beat them after more than 120 years of game time. But I had the Ancient Caretaker, and later Cybrex Beta coming to my aid.

My empire was shot because of the AI rebellion. Had 16 planets, and no way to grow my fleet to match them one on one. My habitability setting was 0.25x so I could only do so much with limited resources. Nonetheless, I beat them. At some point the AC and the CB will go full force on a hub and you can join them, or go to a less guarded one. Do you have the sentry array?

yeah I have one but that doesn't help me crack they're main planets. Everytime I build up a fleet to 60k strength they just throw a 80k fleet at me and I have to start over. I think i've pretty much reached a stalemate at this point.
I'll probably just start over but for my first time doing a crisis I think I did pretty well. The federation i'm in seems to be pretty lazy and never goes after their core manufacturing planets, all they did is just take a few bites out of outlying sectors and then just screw off

I understand. I had urges to quit my campaign because I couldn't break through against these reapers. I directed most of my anger on the AI rebellion for causing most of my misfortunes but I think these reapers really are that tough. You basically need to wait for some luck and circumstances to favor you. It may not happen at all.

Better luck on your next game.
