As Emperor, will you be able to dissolve the Imperial Senate in the Nemesis expansion?
As overpowered as it may sound, you can't become Emperor and not be able to dissolve the Imperial Senate and consolidate absolute power. I want to become the Senate

The second screenshot under Galactic Imperium shows a resolution to Abolish Imperial Council, which presumably removes the pretense that other empires have important roles in the governance of the Galactic Imperium.

Don't think so.

The imperial council seems to be the same as the galactic council. A group of empires that get buffs to their diplomatic weight and gets access to some special resolutions and powers.

Note that you can also change the size of the imperial council or change how people are elected for it.

That said, without the imperial council (and its special powers in the senate or whatever you call it) i doubt that people will be able to out vote the emperor that get insane diplomatic weight buffs and can simply veto stuff.

Everything you said after this agrees with what I said. If you believe that it does not, then you may have misinterpreted my post.

Yea sorry, got the impression that you said that it would remove the voting entirely, after rereading it you obviously did not mean that.

If you mean removing the galactic community, then no. There’s a bunch of stuff still tied to the galactic community for the empire, so until someone creates a mod for it, it won’t happen in vanilla.

When you become the emperor, you've effectively done so. You have the power to prevent the senate to do anything. You can delay their actions pretty much repeatedly with your overwhelming influence income.

You can already be one the galactic council by yourself.
Which functionally is the same thing... XD

The Imperial Council is the same as the galactic council in most respects, and similarily you can remove it just as well. Your note is identicle to what we have before where you can change the size of the council to 1, which is yourself.

In most cases you're right, by the point you elect yourself Emperor it is unlikely they'd be able to vote you out less something drastic occured or you spent a lot to put yourself up there to begin with for only the short term.

The largest way they'd be able to remove you if you weren't really that powerful would be by rebellion, but even then you'd be forming a galactic fleet to fend it off, so who knows.
