The reason those go down slightly is because of the bonus from having excess power, which is going down because you're using some of it.
So, net effect is still bad?
Do you need to have your ship way overpowered to see a net benefit?
Against stuff like starbases which have no evasion? Sure, you're losing a slight speed, evasion, and damage buff from excess power for no gain.
But against corvettes it helps.
Hm. I have trust issues not seeing the change in the displayed accuracy of the weapon.
Most weapons have base accuracies that are less than 100, so most will benefit (missiles, disruptors and arc emitters are the exceptions) and get a DPS increase just from the presence of the auxiliary fire control.
