Mega canon and other "X" slot weapons - where to put them?

Okay i got a little bit confused. i just researched the "mega cannon" with "X" slot, but i am unable to find a ship where i can assemble it. Anyone have an idea how i can build ships with the mega cannon?

It requires a different ship section. The first one. I think it's only available for Battleships and will only appear when you research a X slot weapon. Check it out:
