Cloning Vats Suck
Just realized it. In the past they added to normal pop growth, allowing you to assemble robots. Now they REPLACE the robot factory. its bad.

You can still assemble robots if you have a robot assembly plant and the vats give a 10% boost to organica species at the same time, but you cannot clone and assemble at the same time.
Its a must have if you want every little bit of growth, especially late game.

Far from the Suck you mentioned.

It's abysmal compared to becoming synthetic yourself. And its abysmal compared to the +11-15 growth that assimilators get late game.

It's like: "get this choice and suffer."

If I had chosen "Become the Crisis" instead I would have won.

You are comparing two different things.
A specific species growth to a building modifier.

As an organic, its either get that or become cyborgs. And cyberization is like a dozen times better. Becoming the Crisis is a dozen times better. Almost any choice is now better than Engineered Evolution. Psionics are probably stronger than Engineered Evolution now. It's just sad.

Picking Engineered Evolution will COST YOU GAMES.

Depends on your point of view I guess. I have no problems playing human the entire game and I am overpopulated and building colony after colony just to employ them.

Well when you get that game where the Devouring Swarm has 500k fleet power in 2290.
Robotics and Synth Ascension was vastly superior before, and remains rather superior, but it is a good genetic option for those who don't use robotics. (something I tried with my spiritualist Megacorp, though then I realized that I couldn't pull the Divine Enforcer anymore).

They're now even more vastly superior than before.

Wait, does cloning preclude becoming the crisis? I can't do both?
ScreamCon Jul 7, 2021 @ 7:20pm
So you would rather make a forum to scream at other like forumers how the vats suck rather than ask for how to remedy? Why not also head over to the paradox forum so you may be banned there for screaming at devs rather than beneficially setting your game version back or using mods.

I mean from the lore standpoint it makes sense. If you are advanced interstellar civilistion that can build human-intelligence level automata, why would you bother with biological evolution?
Steel is faster, stronger, smarter than any flesh.

I prefer the cloning vats, personally. Sometimes every pop helps and I hate having one dedicated to building robots.

i mean, im going down a path of engineered evo + transendence to make up for my species shortcomings as a necrophage. so far, its going quite well, no species on the map has declared war on me because they fear my power and know i will stomp them into the ground, the only thing that had a chance by year 2300 to do anything what the Khans event, and its on the opposite side of the galaxy near no wormholes connected to me.

so i'm being the ♥♥♥♥ and ignoring them. maybe a half decent ally will come out the other side.

NOT TRUE
You just need to understand how to use it to your advantage.
Being able to tailor all your organics to fit the planets and jobs is extremely powerful.
The same can be said about any species or inorganic. You must optimize your strengths.
Let me highlight the below screenshot:
1. 93k Science/Month
2. 23k Energy/Month
3. 7k Alloy/Month
4. 9k Food/Month
6. Yes thats 37 Million fleet power.
7. 4411 Pops at year 2535 with 46 colonies and still getting overpopulation to the point I suspect my species are filling my alies worlds now.

I never try to get super growth and I ALWAYS end up on top...
And yes, I DO play on Grand Admiral non-scaling.
