Colossus without apocalypse DLC

I just got an in game notification that a planet was affected by a neutron sweep which is a weapon from the apocalypse DLC which i don't have.

It was used by an awakened empire but i assume this still shouldn't happen without apocalypse being installed as colossus don't exist and thus neutron sweep cannot exist?

Well, technically you've already installed all the DLCs, just in case if you're playing in a MP game, where they're enabled. You just simply can't access them yourself without buying the DLCs.

So it can definitely exist in your games and i wouldn't be surprised, if the awakened empires got them even without the DLC.

Fallen empires get titans without apocalypse, I don't see why they wouldn't have collosi without apocalypse as well. Them having access to those ships is sort of a seperate thing than normal empires having them, since you can't actually play as them, and they are supposed to be big bad scary and high tech anyhow, so they get the shiny toys always.

The AI gets access to most DLC but I'm not sure if it can still do things like becoming the crisis.

Also you can find any megatructure in the wild by chance.
Depending on DLCs you can build yourself. But you can repair and reuse any one you find.

FE titans are different and have always existed. But yes, AEs have colossus.

In fact, the fallen empires have had titans before apocalypse even came out!
