Who do I need to kill to host the galactic market?
Seriously man, it's my second run where getting a "perfect" rating doesn't get me the job. What kind of RNG is this papa needs his juicy 5% market fee.

The last time I played you could make donations to get it, are you making said donations?

I on the other hand get it most of the time, even if it's only a small chance or when i accidentally activated it. So some luck does help too i quess^^

I like to save up influence to give myself the best chance of getting to host it.
Offcourse, you can also get the maximum discount by having 2 trader enclaves in your space.

i've run a machine intelligence empire, get no benefit from trade value but when it comes up i jsut go "eh, why not." and get it every time, when my economy is still in the tank due to massive expansion and focus on other more important things.

game difficulty settings could also play a factor in how the AI behaves in acquiring it, my mega corps with a superb economy on anything captain or higher seem to never get it.

so yeah, it may be worth it to war with the current owner of the market, claim the world the market is hosted on, and just downvote any attempt to move the market. if thats not possible, when it becomes available vote to move the market and hopefully by the time that passes you can max out your odds of being selected that time around.

this is all without mods involved.

Hosting the galactic market is just as powerful for gestalts as it is for regular empires.

It lets you buy and sell resources with 10% less of a penalty.

true, but when my empire is negative so many other things and has a weak standing for the selection, and still gets selected, it honestly confuses me how the game actually decides.

I mean even a Gestalt can get a strong rating with 2 boosters.

I guess that's it yes. Playing "nice" megacorp with about 40 branches and buying raw materials to sell alloys. I get "strong" ratings at nomination and "perfect" after two boosts.

I've tried again on this particular run and still didn't get to host, so I guess it's time for plan B: hostile takeover of the galactic market host.

This game is fun

I got it in my second run, 100/120 Trade Value and being a MegaCorp helped me it.

You can blow up the system with a star eater, that'll force it to move.
Helios Sep 6, 2021 @ 11:29am
Its not working as intendet since the big patch rework dont explain why backwater empire allways gets it with weakest planet in my games only time i got it was when i was the backwater empire with weakest planets.
