Organic sanctuaries
Little bit confused here. I wasn't sure if I should build one on my new planet but gave it a go. I realised that I had to resettle an organic pop there but it said it had 0% habitability (correct, it's a tomb world and the home world is tropical). But the pop actually seemed fairly ok there, was producing 0.9 instead of 1.3 Unity, but it seemed ok.

I was kinda guessing that the organic sanctuary was some kind of sealed dome and could be placed anywhere. Guess not. Should I perhaps only put them on other tropical worlds (luckily there are 2 locally).

I think they used to be but some idiot decided to concede to an open door policy to show they were not prisons :steamsad:
I guess when you think about it, the Paradise domes ARE climate controlled and make the organics living inside it very happy. The Habitability negatives probably can be written off in that because the inefficiencies of trying to run high quality living conditions in said domes is harder when the surrounding terrain and atmosphere is that of a Tomb World.

It's a bit of a stretch but at least pops having to consume more food and consumer goods while producing less even though they live in a virtual paradise makes more sense that way.

Thanks. It felt a bit like I should probably just set up 1 on every planet, just to get the extra population growing. I'm not sure if they'll be much use, but I kinda like seeing 2 population bars growing instead of 1. Is it worth it, 1 sanctuary per planet?

It's not early game, but after you have conquered some enemy's plannets they are worth it as you can move the new population to your already colonized planets. Which means you wil get more and more use of the benefits of being a rogue servitor as you'll be able to "serve" each planet class in the end.

Also,. keep in mind that the moment you get an alien planet after a peace treay you need to build those sanctuaries at those new planets as well.

Yeah, it's a bit prohibitive early anyway just because of the 10 points for moving the pop around. I've started up two but I feel completely broke with the difference in the finances (fun to have a different system though), so I'll hold off until I'm a bit richer :)
