Awakened Empire's War AI needs fixing
So I have been playing a game for a while, I own about half the galaxy, and the awakened empire is stealing all the systems that from my enemy that I want to take. So I declare the war, and push them back on almost every front. The problem is, this awakened empire has almost all of its fleets split up into about 10k fleet power each. This is enough to overwhelm all but my strongest starbases which weren't very close to the front. This awakened empire's territories were made up of a ton of smaller sections of a few systems each, so I had to spread my fleets thin. Whenever I would take a couple of systems, The fallen empire's fleets of 10k would either sneak past or jump past, take like 20 systems, and then my fleets would finally arrive. The obvious solution would be to split my fleets into like 15-20k each, but I can't, because this fallen empire keeps several large, 200k fleets hidden (for some reason they don't appear on my map, Even though I have all the techs). These fleets prevent me from splitting my fleets up, because they appear out of no where and are very strong. This forces me to constantly back track, which dragged a war that should only be 10 years into 30.
I believe that the awakened empire should hold their original fallen empire special planets (Special planets being the hugely populated ones with the unique buildings) as its Capital (because it is) meaning that they can not stand to see them conquered. If even the systems of these special planets were conquered, I believe the awakened empire should divert a large portion of their fleets to take it back.

Sounds like the AI is actually being smart for once. Usually, the AI will doomstack, and then bomb some random 10pop planet of yours somewhere in the borderlands, while you invade their 100+pops homeplanets behind them.

As for fleets appearing out of nowhere, mayb Jumpdrive? I dont know if the Ai acually uses it to be honest.

Maybe next time you shouldn't declare war before you're prepared to deal with them.

I was. I had like 2mil fleet power and they had pathetic compared to it, but right afterwards, they jumped up to inferior, and began their pirate tactics, even bombing a colony into non-existence.
