Learning the Baol way
Got super excited, the Grunur homeworld is a 25 size tomb world with 20 mining districts. Jackpot! I'll just use The Last Baol to turn it into a Gaia World and Im set for the game!

Ouch, reset all the districts. Now I MIGHT be able to use it for trade, I guess.....

It just happened to me. I did the same thing and districts reseted, but only on Grunur. After that I used it in ten other planets and none of them changed.

Huh. Maybe it's a Grunur specific thing? They might've used the old way to set up planets or something.
Reporting in because I also have the Baol and I kept all my districts, as well. Gotta admit though, I didn't settle Grunur mostly because I had found a derelict matter decompressor in a nearby wormhole that was already on the way to becoming operational when I managed to wrest the last Baol event system from my nearest neighbour, so I didn't feel the need to invest effort into mining sectors that'd become superfluous soon after.

That should've been fixed in the latest patch...

"Nu-Baol Life-Seeding now no longer removes Baol Homeworld planetary features."

If you think that a single decompressor is enough then your alloys production isn't adequate ;)

Yep it seems to keep planetary features of other planets, just deletes them from the storyline world.

Just before I desperately needed to swap it to an alloy world too...

A single decompressor + plenty of mining districts allow for a 1k+ alloy production with ease.
If you need more alloys, you're losing too many ships or building too many habitats.
Latter because of lategame lag, as it just ruins your lategame...

And frankly you hardly need 1k, either.
You can just build resource storages on your planets and have a stash that can go well over 100k eventually. More than you'll ever use lol.
And nobody prevents you from just buying it off market, once galactic market pops up it's usually cheap and at that point you probably have a ton of energy even without dyson sphere.

I'm always ignore it. It's broken as GA AI is swiming in resources.

Sell strategic resources for alloys from friendly AI empires.
The AI goes nuts for strategic resources late game.

With AI cheaty multipliers to resource generation? Selling it via even broken diplomacy trade? Phew, no.

I can get an easy 30k-35k alloys just for a few 100 of each strategic resource on GA.
They do need to have good relations with you though.

Unless you mod your game, it really should be. By the time you need more than that and whatever eco you built up on your original planets, you're way into repeating techs and probably just borking around for fun unless you play some roided out gigastructural mivehind 1000 % end game crisis abomination.
