Stratified Economy?
So I went with an authoritarian build for my game this time and I switched my Primary species off of stratified economy yet there are pops still showing as "slaves" of the primary race. This isn't the first time it's happened. I just want to know what exactly i'm missing here and how i can prevent this from happening next time? I think Authoritarian is the build I want, so that i can selectively stratify the economy for specific races. But if it's not going to let me do that then I don't think I want it. :/

The only way for your primary pops to be enslaved is if you're using the slaver guilds civic. Which will enslave 40% of your pops regardless. Stratified society is a living standard and is not directly tied to slavery.

To fix slavery you'll have to reform your government and remove the civic. Otherwise it will always keep that 40% enslaved ratio.

I see I get it, that makes alot of sense actually. I do always use the slavers guild perk when I go authoritarian just because its such a good bonus. I didn't even think that that might be the issue, So irregardless of population it will still be enslaved in order to hit that 40% overall slave population, which in that light sounds like a bit of a detriment? Do you think its worth removing or do you think the positive bonus outweighs that forced slavery on some of the population?

slavers guilds is not compatible with dedicated tech or alloy planets.

Depends. If your primary race has the weak, decadent or the new necrophage traits, having any of them end up as workers is bad.
