How to get vassal to give up a system
One of my tributaries snuck in and grabbed a system in the L-cluster while I was in the process of claiming terminal egress. Is there any way I can get them to give it up, short of releasing them, waiting ten years and then declaring war to get it back? They won't accept any trade for it, not even other systems.

Nope, at best you can integrate them, and then re-release as vassal the rest, but you might lose some other systems or not be able to release everything this way.
Warring is the more controllable way.
AI will never sell systems.
