Robot race question. (Setting foreign race rights)
Had a triad of civilizations go to war with me. Eventually I was forced to make peace due to exhaustion and I won a few planets. Well the planets have their population on them. I went to give them rights / liberties but I can't. I can only enslave them or purge them. I am NOT an assimilation race or purge race. So why can't I let them have rights / be kind to them? Is that beyond machines capabilities?

They're all so miserable and crime is high. I'm not sure what to do with the sad people. :(

If you want to be a disgusting organic-cuddler, you'll need to play a Rogue Servitor.

If they are normal robots/synth you need to change the setting not only in race screen but also in other settings window for ai rights where you also can change the trade settings bombard settings ect. Gestalt pop should be automatic purged like hive people.

I'll take a look and see if that's what's going on.

All I can do is purge or prohibit. I see no option to give them rights or treat them properly. These other races on planets are organic I believe. Not sure why I can't change things to make them happy. x.x

You need to give AI rights as policy IRC.

You can not. Hive mind (and by extension machine intelligence) species can not share their planets with others unless the others are assimilated or processed into food or energy respectively. The only "kind" thing you can do, is to set their status to undesirable and the purge type to displacement. This way you are simply sending them away, and they can find refuge somewhere else where they can (maybe) live free.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Ah it is for servitor only. Okay I misunderstood that part. I thought all robots other than Assimilators and Terminators ;P could be "nice" to them. Didn't realize it was "Servitors only". That makes a lot of sense.

You can be nice to them, just only from afar. Organics don't do so well on machine run worlds. They can not fold into storage spaces, too much acceleration in transports disassembles them... They don't even have the necessary data ports for office functions, nor the tool sets for maintenance. Radiation and airborne industrial byproducts make them "sick"... And then they have to recharge for half a day every day. They just do not fit into any efficient machine society.

If you want to be "nice" nice to them, yes that is for servitors only... those were purpose built to care for organics.
I'll just leave this here... totally unrelated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4IFNKYmLa8

Otherwise there is always a place in the grid for organic batteries... ahem "beings".

Okay so to clarify:

You are playing a gestalt - machine intelligence?

This means that only mechanical pops can live within your empire, which only includes machine drones or robots. Everyone else needs to be either purged or enslaved under grid amalgamation.

If you want to be "nice", i'd recommend to purge via displacement. The pops can just keep living in other organic empires, and you get no diplomatic penalties for that unlike for chemical processing (which is genocide).

Also the grid amalgamated slaves are giving quite a hit for your planetary stability and require housing and food as upkeep.

This gave me a chuckle.

Thanks Crusher. I appreciate the help.
