Eldritch Horror?

Is this a new event? I stumbled across a system on the other side of the galaxy belonging to an AI empire. A system, destroyed as if by a star eater (star turned into black hole, all planets cracked), with a dimensional horror named 'Eldritch Horror' sticking out of the black hole. I haven't seen this before. Is this what happens if you summon the Worm, try to kill it, and lose? Is this with the new update, or is it an older event that I've managed to completely miss?

No, the dimensional horror isn't growing out of the black hole proper, while this one is. This one is also called 'Eldritch Horror', and while I didn't see the event happen, I saw the explosion aftereffect of the system blowing up; the same way you see the explosion aftereffect if you use a star eater to destroy a system, but look at it later.

Yo, just came across this system myself. What likely happened is the AI unleashed the Eldritch Horror when it was doing the archaeology site in the system. The explosion animation is just triggering late

You can kill it afterwards, but it's LOT tougher than its wormy siblings. There monsters shares one reward: if you kill one the other ones give you nothing.

Eldritch Horror got 50k shield, 200k armour and 100k health. The single worst way to get your reward :)
