What is "empire" modifier
So while playing i noticed my resources were higher than they should based on my techs and other listed modifiers. while looking through the listed percents i noticed a modifier listed as empire. so far it is only showing for my credits, unity, and research jobs. All with their own percent. For those who are interested my credit empire percent is 85%, unity 45% and research is both positive and negative for the different science points.

So what is this modifier? Have i picked up something from tech or excavations i'm not counting? Thanks in advance.

It depends, you can get bonus from various sources, some are "local", like planet wide. Some are job related, meaning that they are counted on the job output.
And some are empire, means that it is applied on your global ressources income.

They can come from traditions, empire type bonus, origins, researches...

Many empire bonuses come from events, traditions, civics/ethics, or technologies. For example, the techs that increase output are "empire" modifiers, which affect the whole empire. if you get a relic that increases output, though, i'm not sure if it counts as empire modifiers. You're probably getting a mix from all various sources

You can read a list of all your current empire modifiers in the Government View, Modifiers tab (click on you empire's shield).
