How to take point

This might be a stupid question, but where can I find the button for "take point", so that my allies follow me in war?

Select your fleet and it its the first button right next the name of your fleet

Taking point is effectively useless right now. Your allies will choose their own movement irrespective of the take point status. The only time they will group up with you is when they are on a hold point order from their military AI.

Well I just wanted to turn it off just in case, since I noticed that my ally was moving his ships into my territory even though the enemy was in the opposite direction, and I had the take point turned on.
