Bubbles the space amoeba
Has anyone ever dissected this thing...because I cant do it. I've tried. I just cant click the button.

I dont know how effective it is compared to other ships...but it eventually grows into a huge behemoth that feels pretty powerful early game.

Problem is that unless you get it straight off of the bat then it's kind of just a useless pet. An adorable pet, but a pet none-the-less.

its power diminishes quickly as the game progresses, the centenarian is like 4-5k power but only one ship, so its weaker than even a 2-3k fleet. Unless you want to risk it, or you need to risk it, keep it as a pet. As for the reward for dissecting it, I haven't done it but would imagine it gives research points and bonus % to the generic amoeba researches

I use him to patrol my inner systems where he sometimes eats pirates :)
If I recall right, you get the Regenerative Tissue-based Ship Armor, which to be honest isn't really worth it too much as you can quite quickly come across other Amoebas which can offer the same research, I'd say keeping it as a pet for some minor dmg in the early-game is better.

If you don't dissected it, then how do you find out what's inside?

It's just a space amoeba. One of those you slaughter dime a dozen. It's like adopting a little piglet and petting it while winning the Eat-All-You-Can buffet of pig meat burgers.

Why would anyone make pig meat burgers? Beef is what you need to make a burger. Your analogy is an insult to burgers!

I just tell the scientist to ignore it...

It'll leave after a while and give a research bonus towards some Amoeba stuff.

Yeah, but if it's a good burger then it'd have bacon too. So there is still some pig meat in there!

Yes. But how do you dissect the space amoeba?

Lasers my man, lasers. You were not planning on dissecting with a mass driver were you?

You do it very carefully.

Yup, you don't want to accidentally burst the Bubbles. :steamlaughcry:
