I got a quest called Wanderlust on my first game.

I've been playing Stellaris and I recently completed a quest chain called Wanderlust, I was doing it because I assumed it was a tutorial or it was a quest you get on your first game. But after completing the last quest I google it out of curiosity, and I read that it's exremely rare and triggers a event? What does it do and what was the point of the quest?

I don't like that quest line, I already almost always get the Unbidden.
But even worse if you had a very good starting scientist in physics... X(

What are the unbidden? This is my first time playing Stellaris and apparently I got this super rare quest on my first game?

One of the possible end-game crisis.

There's no real point to the event. It's just flavor. There's no long-term bonus, just some immediate boosts. It's worth doing, but it's nothing spectacular. It is rare, but beyond that, nothing else.

As for Unbidden - I wouldn't worry about it for now.
