Can't bombard planets.

Since the last update I can't bomb planets of enemies anymore. I can invade them with my troops, but then they are on their own. I can still attack fleets and stations. When I click to bombard, my fleet just hovers over that planet, saying they are bombing it but nothing happens. No animation of bombing, no damage to the troops, buildings or civilians.
At one point I wanted to bomb and invade a primitive empire. Same thing. And everytime I clicked to bomb, they asked me if I really want to do this, because then they become hostile towards me.
Is this a bug or were there changes?

what bombardment stance are you using?

If you say "primitive empire" are you speaking of a pre-FTL civilization? And did the problem happen with worlds of regular enemy empires?
Not sure I never bombed pre-ftl worlds just landed some regiments to take them, but its possible that you can't bomb those.

They have to be in youre borders, and you need to set your laws to allow it.

Are you perhaps a pacifist empire? Some empires will have restrictions on orbital bombardment. Try playing a Fanatic Purifier empire, and then doing bombardment under "Armageddon" or "Indiscriminate" stance

At one point I was a Devouring Swarm and that pre-FTL civilization was in my borders. I also invaded them.
I have the problems with normal empires too.

I have noticed that the fleet display does not show that you are bombarding a planet. Just have your fleet enter orbit and look at the army tab of the planet. If the planets fortification level goes down you are bombarding them.

Nothing goes down. No bombarding animation. No damage. But they say they are bombarding. Also at first I wanted to bomb the pre-FTL before invading and they asked me if I really want to, because then they become hostile towards me. Everytime I clicked yes and they "bombed" they asked me this.

Tried it again and even checked this time.
- Fanatic Militarist + Warrior Culture
- Pre-FTL civilization during the Industrial Age
- Build station in their system (System is in my boarders)
- Fleet worth about 5, Corvette only
- Unrestricted Wars
- Indiscriminate Orbital Bombardment
- Ordered fleet to bomb
- Same result as before = they say they bomb, but they don't.

I just found out what my problem was!
You must have AT LEAST a fleet size of 10 to bomb at planet! After 10 it works normaly.
I thought is was a bug or a glitch after the last update.

That is a tricky condition - I was aware of it, and I should have brought it up, but didn't think of it

It is impossible to bombard a planet on which your occupation garrison.
