Cloud Snagged Event chain outcomes
I can't seem for the life of me figure out what this outcome does beside just EXIST. I keep getting the same outcome and that is a temporary modifier ((72 month physics boost)) and honestly it kinda sucks as I can accumulate that much by building research stations near neutron stars and the like. Is there any other outcomes? I chose to release it multiple times.

its a federational event chain, right now i have this exact chain and you should keep the cloud but im not certain of the outcome yet.

As far as I can tell, it is for all practical purposes bugged in a single-player game. All members of the federation have to complete the cloud project in order for it to give the desired outcome, but the AIs never bother to do it. So unless you are in a federation with another real player, it doesn't work right.

It's not that they don't bother to do it, the project will be queued into one of their science ships, but it will complete it's current task first, then start heading back to the homeworld, often from too far away to actually make it back in time, thus their project fails.

Which is very dumb because it still happens to this day idk why they cannot fix this event after years of it being like this.

The AI should recognise it being a timed event and add it to a priority queue of the closest science ship.

Dude 100% I have been playing this game for years and have literally never been able to complete this event.

COMPLETED

I was lucky enough to complete this today. Gave 10% Physics boost for 6 years. Don't know how the AI completed it given all the other troubles in posts, but I do remember 'Keeping' the cloud instead of 'Setting it free' when the option came up

Same here, I wonder what will happen if we set it free. I'm playing ironman so I can't know

For those curious, just completed this while setting the cloud free. You get a small cohesion bump, the same physics boost, a smaller society boost, and they last for 10 years instead of 6. SET THE CLOUD FREE, FOLKS.
